Growing up in New York, I can remember loving fashion even then. I was blessed with an allowance each week and would save up my money to buy a new outfit and more often than not a new pair of sneakers. I loved styling sneakers so much, anything from Air Jordans, Air Force 1s, Air Maxes and more. Since Iβve been with Dom Iβve tried countless times to get us to visit New York. Iβve been plenty of times because Iβm from Mount Vernon, New York but I wanted us to experience the city together at least once. As a kid I’ve always seen people stare at me, make rude comments, and tell jokes about how skinny I was. All of this created misconceptions that I had of myself: believing that I was too skinny, I needed to gain weight, and be thick and shapely like some other women.
