Two Ways to Style A Flared Skirt

The sun is out and the temperature is hot. So what’s the first outfit that comes to your mind to wear? Most people will say a pair of shorts and a tank. I love a good pair of shorts but when it’s hot and humid outside I’d rather go with something that flows with the little bit of breeze that I might catch. This is why my skater skirt has been a summer essential for me this year! I’m so happy that I was able to capture my look twice in this adorable skirt and share it with you all.
With my first look with my flared skirt I opted to add more color and paired it with my open toe sandals (post: Flared Skirt). It’s such a great date night look! However, this time I wanted to go for more of a walk in the park look. I’ve really been dying to wear my Circus by Sam Edelman sandals. (DJS & STYLE tip of the day: It’s okay to sometimes give the heels a rest and throw on some cute sandals like these!) The gold sandals and the sky light marle color of the skirt go so well together. I told you before in my previous post, We All Scream, that I couldn’t get enough of my new backpack, and as you can see I meant it. I never knew I would fall in love with a backpack so much! Its compartments and color are just amazing. Both looks have become favorites of mine now. Which do you like best?
