Feeling Unmotivated?
A few days ago I posted to the blog for the first time since February 22, 2020. You may be asking why so long? To be honest, I felt unmotivated and unfulfilled. I just couldn’t find the inspiration to write or create content, not when so many of us are experiencing so many different emotions at this time. But lately, I started to get out of that mindset and began to think differently. My current thoughts are — My content could inspire the next person to create or help another to temporarily get their mind off the negativity in the world.
Since I’m finally feeling productive and motivated I wanted to share with you some outfit content that I continued to stall and not post despite it being a fun look. My new favorite piece is the satin skirt! Posting this look is inspiring me to create more.

If you have been feeling unmotivated and want to get out of a slump, here are five things to help you get there.
Journal
When I was younger I would journal ALL of the time. To this day it has always been nice to go back and read to reflect on my life during my journal entries. Sometimes writing out your feelings can help you to better understand exactly what you’re feeling.
Talk to Family/Friends
If you have a great circle of family and friends around you, use them. People that love you want to see you happy and live a fulfilling life. Don’t ever feel you are a burden to someone. If they love you, then they want to hear from you. Just one impactful conversation can make a difference in your life.
Do Something you Love
I know that for the most part majority of us are at home and finding things we love at home may be challenging if you’re not a homebody, but this is also the time to discover new things about ourselves. Maybe you have an underlying passion to cook or bake. Try reading up on a topic that you love, this is the time to gain more knowledge.
Take your Time
Ultimately you should take as much time as you need until you feel, yourself. We’re all feeling a rollercoaster of emotions right now and it’s okay to give ourselves grace because let’s face it this is an uncertain time.
Follow Motivating Social Media Pages
I follow a lot of other bloggers and when I’m in a space where I’m feeling unmotivated I always seem to come across a page that speaks to what I’m feeling and uplifts me and gives inspiration. Social media can be a lot of things including negative at times, but I believe it all depends on what we feed ourselves. Remember you have the choice of what you want to appear on your feeds, so choose wisely.
Here’s to hoping this post places a smile on your face, uplifts, motivates and/or inspires you! Happy Thursday!
