We All Scream... - Destiny Parks

It’s summer of the 1990s and I hear the usual Mister Softee tune from my grandmother’s house. I race to the Mister Softee truck with a few dollars and I greet the driver and order my usual vanilla ice cream cone with rainbow sprinkles – and this surmises one of my best childhood memories ever!

My Melody Ehsani “We All Scream” gold plated earrings, allow me to relive this fond memory, one reason why I had to purchase them. Buying them from Nasty Gal on sale for $8.00 is definitely another (the sale is now over but they still are only $14). I love the size and details of these earrings. They’re such a bold accessory for the summer. I packed them along with me for my visit to California but unfortunately never got a chance to wear them. They also look great with my bracelet that I purchased from Cotton On. It only cost $2 and all proceeds go directly to projects in Southern Uganda.

What goes better with a bold summer accessory than high waisted shorts, a crop top, cat-eye sunglasses, and gladiator sandals? Nothing because it’s the perfect combo! Cat-eye sunglasses are a huge trend for the season, and I had to have them. After some long web searches of the perfect pair I finally found these Quay Kitty Shades by the Quay Australia brand. I discovered Quay shades on Instagram and then found out that Nasty Gal sells them. Their sunglasses are beyond amazing. They have great details, and I love their cases that they provide with the shades.

If you read my last blog post, California Love, you may have seen a photo of my rose gold backpack. It stayed attached to me while visiting Los Angeles. Now I’m back in VA and I’m still finding ways to wear it! It was my first time buying from Asos and it was a great purchase because I love this bag. Cool and chic was what I was looking for in a backpack, and this one certainly lives up to it. (DJS & STYLE tip of the day: remember to always have fun with fashion and with life.) Overall this is a perfect outfit to look and stay cool in the summer heat. How are you doing it this summer?
