3 Tips to Dress Stylish in the Workplace
Since I started working a hybrid schedule, I wanted to think of ways that I could boost my mood of being back in the office after almost three years. Immediately I thought of the way I feel when I wear a banging outfit and I knew this was my answer — dress up in the office to boost my energy, and just make me feel good despite not being in the comfort of my home. My mom recently reminded me of this saying — When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good, you do good.
On my Instagram page I’ve been really consistent in sharing what my in the office workwear looks like. By the way, thank you for all the love and support for all the looks I’ve posted thus far! It gives me motivation to keep sharing! I’m blessed to dress casually at my current job so I mix up my style a lot and do business casual or a little less casual on some days.
Shop My Work Wear Looks
In the past, I have dressed up occasionally, but never consistently like this. It feels so good and makes me feel confident in the workplace. Highly recommend you give it try! If you’re looking for ways to be more stylish in the workplace, here are some tips/things I love wearing.
- Wear a Blazer – if you are trying to spruce up any outfit styling a blazer will instantly elevate an look. Since being back in the office I’ve worn a blazer with jeans, sneakers, and a dress. The styling possibilities are endless!
- Find a Pair of Shoes that fit your style and are comfortable for work – I feel like since the pandemic my style has changed, probably just for the simple fact of being more confident in who I am. In the past I used to just stick to flats at work and that was basically it, but recently I’ve found that a great mule shoe is the perfect option for work. There’s so many stylish and comfy options. This black pair with gold hardware I’m wearing is the best for many of my workwear outfits.
- Be Creative – Just because you are dressing for work doesn’t mean that your look has to be boring or excessively conservative. Find ways to have fun with your look! I do this by incorporating bold/fun colors and styling/mixing prints.
