My Visit to the Garfield Park Conservatory
If you follow me on Instagram or Tiktok then you know that Dom and I travelled to Chicago last week! We had the time of our lives and explored the city so much. Over the next few weeks I plan to create more blog posts surrounding our trip to Chicago. To start off my series of posts, I wanted to share my experience at the Garfield Park Conservatory (GPC) and three reasons why you should visit.
Shop the Look
Okay so fun fact, I am a Capricorn so naturally I love being outside and soaking up what nature has to offer. Although I don’t have a green thumb YET (I’m working on it), I appreciate plants so much and I am always in awe of them. So it was only right that I was super excited when we made plans to visit the GPC.
If you are debating on if you should add this spot on your Chicago itinerary, here’s three reasons why you should:
1. It’s free to visit; however, donations are welcomed! We made sure to donate because that’s how places like this continue to exist. It’s important to support when you can!
2. It’s like walking through paradise. Every where you turn is so whimsical and we loved it so much.
3. You can get some instaworthy pictures here! Every turn is magical and worth taking a picture of.
Transportation
The best way to get here is by train! We were so pleased to see that the train stop was right next to GPC. Also, navigating Chicago’s transit system is easy and no mater where you’re traveling the ticket is $2.50. They also offer single day tickets, which we purchased a couple times when we knew we’d be using the train frequently in one day.
