How to Style High Waisted Biker Shorts

I’m always down to try out a new trend and biker shorts have been popular for a while now. The only time I’ve styled them in an outfit is when I went ATV riding in Bali. Check out the look on my Instagram. This time around it was much more fun to style biker shorts for a casual day out.

Linen Jacket

I love a good spring jacket! I found this one from Old Navy when they had a really great sale, and I’m so happy that I bought it. It’s linen material so it’s a light fabric that feels awesome to wear all day. Also, it’s a neutral tan color that’s going to go great with so many other looks. So far I’ve worn it with these biker shorts and a pair of jeans, and it looked really amazing.

Graphic Top

A graphic top is always fun to style and the possibilities are endless. If you’re looking for a fun and easy way to style biker shorts definitely go with a graphic top. You’ll be able to express yourself and still be stylish!

Biker Shorts

All I can say is that I want more biker shorts! My husband calls them spring leggings, haha which is pretty much what they are. They will continue to be the popular trend for spring and summer, and you should definitely give them a try if you haven’t already. I recently went out with some girlfriends and we actually had a conversation about styling biker shorts and if they should be worn in public.

STYLE TIP: If you ever feel overexposed or uncomfortable with biker shorts in public, add a blazer or even a light jacket (you can even just tie it around your waist) to the look and I’ll guarantee you’ll feel more confident. Also, if you want to add a print into your look, you should look for cool printed biker shorts.

Slip-On Sandals

Funny story, I used to have a cute pair of slip-ons that I purchased from Target a couple of years ago. Barkley was still a puppy and in his teething stage, and I made the mistake of leaving my brand new too cute sandals out in our entryway. Long story short, I came home to chewed up sandals and you know what I loved them so much I still occasionally wore them, haha. So happy that I was able to kick them to the curb and level up with these braided strap slip-ons from Target.
