Decorating Our Apartment Home

Happy Monday! I can’t believe that it’s been four months since I blogged! Man, time has been flying ever since COVID-19 decided to turn our lives upside down. But just like everyone else I’ve been finding ways to keep my peace, protect my energy and stay positive. Since Dom and I moved in April to our new apartment I’ve been finding my peace in decorating and making our beautiful space feel more and more like home. I wanted to share our decorating journey thus far!

Our Breakfast Nook

I have a thing for nooks! Whether it’s a reading nook, window seat nook or breakfast nook I’m a fan. I just love all the coziness and every time I look at ours it makes me smile. This space was our first focus in our decorating journey. My vision for the space was ensuring that it was cozy and had my usual pops of glam. Now let’s get into the deets of where we purchased everything.

Dom and I spent so many hours in At Home, but it was all worth it because it’s where we purchased my favorite piece — the settee bench. We also found the chairs here too!

Can you believe that our wall shelf was only $20 at TJ Maxx?! We snatched it up real quick. I loved that I was able to display my books of powerful black women and some of my Ikea faux plants.

I searched high and low for our table. There were a lot that I liked, but were too expensive. I finally found this reasonable white and gold table from Overstock. It was such a good buy!

The Living Room

Our living room is still a work in progress, but I love how it’s coming along! My favorite piece in this space is the World Market lamp, it’s gives such a statement. I can’t wait to add some wall art on the wall behind it.

The newest addition to our living room is the World Market table that I purchased during their Labor Day sale at 30% off with 10% off curbside. The sale doesn’t end until midnight! I’m also waiting on an accent table that I bought from the sale too which I linked. Can’t wait until it arrives!

If you are interested in shopping some of these Labor Day sales before they end, here are few that I’ve had my eye on.
