6 Places to Visit in the D.C. Area this Spring/Summer

Since Dom and I have started traveling more often, it’s caused me to take a closer look at where we live and appreciate the things around us a little more. That’s why this year I plan to go out more and discover what our city and the surrounding areas have to offer. Here’s 6 places or things on my wishlist to see this spring/summer.

CityCenterDC

This is my second time visiting CityCenterDC! I love walking through Palmer Alley to see what type of overhead installations they decide to do each season. This Spring it’s the pink lanterns and they are too cute! I plan to visit again to see what the summer installation will be this year!

Union Market DC

I’ve seen so many posts about this place whether it’s someone taking pictures in front of a cute mural or making a stop at the farmer’s market. I’m telling you one of those murals needs to be featured as a backdrop for a DJS & Style photoshoot! I also saw that there is a Drive-In Union Market for the season! Dom and I will definitely be making our way to watch one of the movies!

Dumbarton Oaks Garden

I recently came across pictures of this garden on Instagram and fell in love! Ever since I discovered I’ve been dying to visit and added it to my list spring/summer wishlist of to-dos. This past Saturday I had the opportunity to visit. It was so beautiful! I plan to post about my experience soon!

Artechouse DC

Visiting more museums has been a goal of mine for a while. So when my job announced that we could get a discount to visit the newest exhibition “In Peak Bloom.” I was so excited. I can’t wait to have a date night there.

The Library of Congress

I’ve been drooling over the architecture of this place for a while. I’m still debating on if I want to visit it this summer or use it as a place to go in the winter.

National Harbor

I’ve always wanted to grab a chair and head to National Harbor to watch a movie on their plaza! Also, the sunset at National Harbor is just amazing. We honestly don’t visit here enough so it would be nice to enjoy ourselves there! I also would love to take a water taxi ride between National Harbor and Alexandria.
