Three Reasons Why You Should Take a Vacation

Every year I’m in a frenzy trying to figure out what I should give my husband, Dom, for his birthday. Why you might ask? Because he never wants anything, and hardly ever gets excited. So this time around I planned early, and thought long and hard of a gift idea. The conclusion was a vacation! Keep reading to find out my three reasons why you should take a vacation. 

Relaxation 

We all need that good ol’ relaxation in our lives. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find myself becoming overwhelmed or stressed with work, and just life in general. Doing things that I love to do such as reading, hanging with friends/family, shopping, etc., usually help me relieve my stress. But a vacation always just makes me feel so amazing! You will just always catch a smile on my face while vacay-ing. Now don’t get me wrong, travelling can certainly be stressful due to the numerous hours spent on a plane, at the airport, etc., but once you have arrived to your destination you’ll feel so free and full of life!

A Change of Scenery 

Let’s face it we all need a change of scenery or a change of pace. Remember that it’s healthy to give yourself a break from your everyday routine. Our body, mind, and soul need it! When Dom and I travelled to San Diego last weekend we both felt so alive! It was nice to see the sun and the beach on a regular basis because it’s not usual scenery we see in Virginia very often especially during the winter months. 

New Experiences 

On vacation you are bound to experience something new whether it be trying a different meal or visiting a popular place in the city. On this trip to California I gained a new experience of walking through a field of flowers. I never did this before, and the experience was just breathtaking. See what I wore on this day, here.
