How to Style Statement Boots

Do you ever walk into a store or browse online and spot a pair of shoes that would definitely make a statement? This is me on so many occasions. If you’re like me, the first thought is what would I wear it with because let’s face it a lot of statement shoes are not easily styled with just any and everything. However, one advice from my mom was “if you see something you really like just buy it, and later you might find something to wear it with.” I live by this (when I have the funds at least)! So long story short I had a moment like this and I bought the boots! Here are my tips on how to style a pair of statement boots.

The Basics

Statement boots will always stand out no matter what you wear but wearing a basic color dress or top will definitely make the focus be on the boots. For example, I’m thinking about getting a basic long black dress with splits to style with these leopard boots. Stay tuned!

Mixing Prints

If you want to have a little more fun, you could always style it with another print as I did with this look! I am such a big fan of stripes! I looked in my closet recently and realized that I have way too much clothing with stripes, so I made it an effort to go on a little stripe strike lol for the moment. Any who, I honestly think if you want to try mixing prints then stripes and another print usually works. I’m glad I didn’t immediately go out and buy something new to wear with these boots, but this graphic striped top looks great with it.

Another option is to style your statement boots with a plain graphic top such as the one I styled in my A Fashion Show and A Green Skirt post. This could be paired with a ripped jeans or a midi skirt.

I think I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a huge fan of fall, but I do love the fashion. I love when it’s finally time to wear boots, and the time is now!
