How to Style A Floral Lace Dress

Dresses like this are great to pack on a trip. Speaking of trip, this is actually my last weekend before I travel for vacay, and I am so excited to style some more dresses on the blog. —- Stay tuned! But before my vacay I wanted to feature this little number first. 

So how do you style a black floral lace dress? Simple, just add as little as possible and let the dress speak for itself. I did just that by styling the dress with only a pair of earrings, shoes, a summer bag, and a pair of sunglasses.

I found this dress on the clearance rack at Topshop and I knew I had to have it. I love how detailed the dress is with the lace and the bell sleeves. Since this particular dress had so many colors in it I felt that a neutral shoe and bag were essential. Now don’t get me wrong, a colored shoe such as red, yellow, or blue would have also been nice options to pair with this dress. Unfortunately, I just don’t own a pair :-(.

The biggest summer bag trend is straw bags! I have seen so many and I have been wanting one for a very long time, but the prices have been outrageous. I was lucky enough to find this one for only $18 at Forever 21. Unfortunately, the bag has sold out again but I left the link below so keep checking, you might get lucky like I did. 

I finished off the look with these too cute gold flower earrings which complimented the dress really well. Also, you probably won’t catch me too often without my shades this summer so it was second nature to pair them with this look.
