Flared Skirt

My looonnnggg weekend has ended and now I’m walking around with a sad face. No but seriously, my “long weekend” began on May 21st-May 26th and it was beyond amazing! Every year my family and I get together for the Memorial Day weekend and stay at a resort in Williamsburg, Va. Williamsburg may not have much to do but I always have a great time when around family. Williamsburg allows you to relax and to appreciate nature and just the simple things in life. (DJS & STYLE tip of the day: Always acknowledge and appreciate the simple things in life.)  Long story short it was a much needed trip for most of us.

A few regrets I do have with my stay at the resort is that I didn’t get chance to take a dip in the pool, and play racquetball and/or tennis. However, I did get to do other activities such as bike riding, exercise, going out to eat, shopping at the outlet, visiting the Yankee Candle flagship store (we love their scents), and just enjoying the scenery. One day my fiancé and I did get a chance to appreciate some of what nature has to offer, by taking in the views of the resort on one of their gazebos of water.

It was truly one of the most peaceful moments out there. I chose my flared light blue skirt from Cotton On that matched the scene and flowed easily with the wind. I thought body suits were a thing of the past. I have fond memories of struggling as a kid when using the girls restroom, but I’ve always loved the way they fit and looked. I’m glad they’re in fashion again because it looked great paired with my flared skirt. I had a great outfit this day to match the beautiful views. Overall my weekend was amazing! I hope yours was too!
