Sweater + Mini Skirt Weather

Leaving work four hours early, partaking in a yummy Tropical Smoothie (blimey limey to be exact, love it!), soaking up some sun, and just enjoying life with my boyfriend was my itinerary last Monday! To say the least I’m wishing today could be exactly the same 🙁 haha!

Last Monday the high was in the 70’s and it was absolutely beautiful! I’m the type of person that is always cold so a sweater is the perfect option for me in the spring. In fact, if you’ve taken a look at my blog before you’ve seen this sweater in the Pretty in Pink: Spring Edition blog post!

DJS STYLE tip of the day: There is always at least five different ways to wear a piece of clothing — don’t waste money by wearing something once. Instead be creative, and have fun with fashion. The possibilities can be endless!

Sweaters always look so chic with a skirt. It’s also a great and easy outfit to assemble. I’ve been dying to wear this sweater with this Cotton On mini skirt. I love how they blend so well together due to the sort of tie dye detail in the skirt! To only spend $5 on this skirt a year ago, I’m glad to find another fashionable outfit to pair it with.  It’s always important to add some fun detail to your outfit.  My fun detail for this look is definitely the beige Forever 21 faux leather bucket clutch. I purchased this clutch because I was in desperate need of a light colored clutch for the spring, but I was unaware of the mirrored sides until I received it in the mail. Talk about a great surprise! That detail makes it such a unique and fun clutch. This type of look will definitely be a go to look for me this spring!
