In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different – CoCo Chanel
It’s never too cold for a skirt, especially when you can pair it with cute socks and tights! I decided to do just that! I have been wanting to feature this black pleated faux leather skirt from Forever 21 that I purchased a few years ago, but I wanted to do it in a creative way. So I rummaged through my closet and found my black and gray mesh paneled bodycon dress that I bought last year to wear on my trip to Las Vegas. Although it was my intention to wear it out in Vegas I didn’t. I’ve actually only worn it about maybe three times so I thought it was the perfect time to bring it out again but this time as a top! This is a style option that I tend to use often. Using this style tip allows your wardrobe to become interesting and expansive. If you haven’t already you should definitely try it!
Although I have on a skirt I still felt very wintery due to my warm H&M scarf, Mixit crew socks, and my ShoeDazzle Shuyler booties. As I said before, in my previous post I’m so excited to wear all types of socks this season (see post Combat to see another way to style crew socks this season). However, I wanted to try a different style and look. Wearing socks with a skirt gives a street style look that’s unexpected and fun, and I always love fun! I also loved how I was able to mix different textures with this look and even add some holiday shine with my silver metallic Cotton Clutch!
How are you wearing your skirt this winter?
