The Perfect Black Boot
As I said before, boot season has arrived! If you’re like me a few weeks ago you’ve probably been on a quest to find the perfect black boot this season. There are a wide variety to choose from so I decided to showcase a few of my favorite/popular looks and my go to selections in my own closet.
My number one boot style that is currently on my wish list is the over the knee boot. It looks stunning with a flared skirt, a pair of denim jeans, or even your favorite sweater dress. This boot will definitely give you that sleek and sexy look you may be wanting this season. Also, if you’re looking for warmth this winter then this is your boot!
One of my personal favorites in my own closet is the knee high boot. This boot style is normally a repeat for me every year. Previously I have always purchased a pair with buckles and a heel. However, this year I wanted more of a flat boot style and instead of my normal high heeled knee high boot look. I was in desperate need of a new pair of boots but still wanted a good bargain so I shopped at Nordstrom Rack where I found my Charles by Charles David boots for only $60! With this boot style I normally keep it pretty causal with a pair of fitted pants or denim jeans, and a top/blouse. Stay tuned to see how I pair them on the blog!
Whenever I’m looking for a fun, sexy, or causal look I normally gravitate towards my heeled ankle boots. They’re a great boot to style with denim, a skirt, or even a dress. I especially love the ankle boot look for its street style appeal. Also it’s versatility is insane! It’s definitely a boot style that I’m able to wear to work, on a date night, or just a night out with friends. This boot is a big must have for your winter wardrobe! (See how I styled the ankle boot three different ways in these previous posts: Leather Weather, Fall Statement, Metallic Glam).
Now if you are looking for just casual everyday wear then you’re definitely looking for the ankle laced up combat boot. It looks great paired with a blazer, a top, shorts, tights, and leg warmers. If you want comfortability then you must try it out with a loose top, denim jeans, and your favorite parka when you’re running errands.
When it comes to the best boot style the list can go on and on and on. The only way to find the perfect black boot this winter after reading this guide, is to go out and shop for it! Happy Shopping!
