Although I’m not too far from the city I rarely get the opportunity to experience many festivals. I know, shame on me, right? Well I’m glad to say that this past Saturday, I had the opportunity to explore the 17th Street Festival in Washington, D.C. and of course I did it in style! Before I went to the festival I took some photos so you guys can see what I wore!

The weather wasn’t the best on Saturday once the festival started so I was glad that I chose my stonewash jeans and my oxford style shoes from Target (also posted in There’s Something About Fall post). I was prepared for the rainy weather but eventually the sun came out. I decided to wear one of my favorite blazers from Cotton On, since there was a chill in the air letting us know that fall is definitely on its way. I’m glad the weather permitted me to wear it because I  love the vibrant blue color. It always  looks great paired with a snakeskin print, hence the reason why I chose to wear my snakeskin clutch from Cotton On that was on sale for only $5 (see the Black & Blue Vibes post to see how I styled the silver version)!

The 17th Street Festival is an art festival, but there were several fashion vendors present. I had the pleasure to collaborate with Pichardo Boutique, an eco-chic mobile boutique. Yes that’s right I said a mobile boutique! Saturday came with a lot of first times for me. Not only was it my first time at the 17th Street Festival, but it was also my first time EVER being on a mobile boutique. It was definitely an amazing experience.

Pichardo Boutique was one of three fashion mobile boutiques at the event. The boutique started out as a pop-up shop/e-commerce business based out of Tennessee. The boutique has since transformed into a mobile fashion bus of the Washington DC Metro Area. The boutique consists of new and resale products that are boho-chic, sophisticated, and classy.

I had the pleasure to work on the bus as a fashion blogger assisting shoppers, and I’m still fascinated of the idea of fashion on wheels. The whole concept is so mind boggling and definitely a must see so make sure you  find out where Pichardo Boutique will be next, and visit their Facebook page today!

Overall I had such a great time at the festival! Did any of my DC Metro Area readers make it out to the festival? If so, did you stop at the mobile fashion boutiques? If so, what did you think?
